POLICIES

Driver License Requirements

A valid full (Class 5 or higher) driver's license issued from the country of residence.

Acceptable Licenses

- Unexpired Canadian license or a temporary license/permit issued when original license is lost, stolen or expired.

- Unexpired U.S. license.

- International renters: unexpired license from country listed as acceptable for foreign licenses.

Non-acceptable Licenses

- Learner's permit, mutilated or altered license motorcycle license or license to drive military or company vehicle only.

- International driver's permit is not acceptable on its own; it must be accompanied by a valid license from the country of residence.

- The renter's driver's license must be valid for the entire rental period.

Age Requirements

Any renter who is over 18 years of age and possesses a major credit card.

Deposit Requirements

- Cash deposits are not accepted.

- Riz Rent a Car and Truck accepts the following rental deposits: VISA, Master Card, and AMEX.

Riz Rent a Car and Truck accepts the following methods of payment: VISA, Master Card, and AMEX.

Pick-ups and Drop-offs

Pick-ups and drop-offs are available at the Vancouver International Airport and in the Greater Richmond area.

Insurance

Renters using their own insurance coverage must present valid supporting documentation prior to rental.

Surcharges & Taxes

Goods & Services Tax 6.00%

Provincial Sales Tax 7.00%

BC Road Tax $1.50/day

Additional Charges

Additional Driver $9.95/day (no charge for family member living in the same house)

Over Mileage Charge $0.20/km

Full Gas Tank or $15.00 service charge plus the cost of gas.
